How accurate is the AI matching?

Accepted Answer

Match scores are based on each scholarship's published eligibility criteria and the profile information you provide. Accuracy improves significantly with a complete profile — especially the Activities and Background fields. Scores reflect how well you fit a scholarship, not your likelihood of winning.

Will using ScholarSearch AI guarantee I win a scholarship?

No tool can guarantee that — final decisions are made by each scholarship's own reviewers. What we do is show you scholarships you're genuinely eligible for, ranked by fit, with a clear explanation of why each one matched your profile, so you spend your time on the applications most likely to be worth it.

What if my GPA or activities list isn't very strong?

Many scholarships have no GPA minimum at all, and others specifically prioritize activities, background, or financial need over grades. Your matches are built from your whole profile, not just GPA, so you'll still see real, eligible opportunities worth applying to.

Can I add scholarships that aren't in your catalogue?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Click Add scholarship in your Application Tracker to enter any scholarship manually. You can track its deadline, status, and notes just like catalogue scholarships.

Does ScholarSearch AI store my essay drafts?

Accepted Answer

No. Your essay content is processed to generate suggestions and then discarded — we don't store your drafts. Your writing is never used to train AI models. We recommend not including highly sensitive personal information in essay drafts.

How do I stop deadline reminder emails?

Accepted Answer

To stop reminders for a scholarship, update its status to Submitted, Won, or Skipped in your Application Tracker. Reminders are only sent for scholarships in Saved or Applying status. You can also manage notification preferences in your account Settings.

Can I use ScholarSearch AI on my phone?

Yes. The platform is fully mobile-responsive and works in any modern mobile browser. There's no app to install — just visit the site from Safari, Chrome, or your preferred browser.

How do I delete my account?

Open a support ticket from the Help Center contact page and select Account as the category. Include your registered email address and let us know you'd like your account deleted. We'll confirm and process the deletion within 48 hours.

Why did my match results change since last time?

Results can change for a few reasons: new scholarships were added to the catalogue, some scholarships passed their deadline, or you updated your profile. Run a new match any time to get the freshest results.

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your account is protected using modern security standards — your information is encrypted in transit, and only you can access your data. We never sell your personal information to third parties. You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time.

Can parents use ScholarSearch AI on behalf of their student?

Accepted Answer

Parents are welcome to help their student set up an account and complete their profile. The account should use the student's own email address, since deadline reminders and personalised suggestions are based on that profile.

How do I update my email address?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings in your dashboard and look for the Account section. Enter your new email address and click Save. You'll receive a confirmation message at the new address — click the link to complete the change.
